Monster In Us Part V- Discipline

“Everyone has a monster in themselves. Sometimes, we fight them every day and lose against them. But, what if you can win a few battles and slowly, over time, pull yourself out?”

Day V: Discipline- Pushing the boundaries of one’s limits

There are always goods days, and there are always bad days. Its always at the lowest times of your days or moods that you will be tested.

How far can you go? How far can you reach to become extraordinary in a boat full of norms?

When society sees you as the odd man in the group, they would beat you down, put you in your place, and force you to confirm or reject you.

You got a choice: You either conform with the people because the majority don’t like to see extraordinary or stand out and run your own battle, your own laps, and control your own mind.

The past four-post was about creating your own values, wishlist, and vision in your life, taking control of your own destiny. This is a huge step as everything now consists of repetitions, staying the course, and being focused.

I know, it sounds super boring, but you got to realize that there is a reason behind this.

Everything needs to be built from the ground up. It’s never the big bang that gets you to where you need to go, but the small works that add up over time push you forward. Every small goal that is accomplished in a day is a win. This is the most important because, on your journey, you will feel like you have lost your way or the progress isn’t big enough.

That is the time to stop, go back, and really reflect on how far you have come from the beginning days of your goals.

Stay on the course that you have mapped out yourself. The fuel of your why’s should be one of the fuels that propel you forward. Knock out those goals, one by one, which will confirm that your goals are possible. Its always in the actions that bring life to your vision.

Most people don’t accomplish their new year’s goals because they don’t see quick results, which isn’t the case. If you want to see results, you have to put time, effort, and, most importantly, focus on it. So, what are you going to do right now, or what have you done that you are proud of today? Then, take a moment to reflect and observe your progress.

If you can’t see your progress. Record it every day.
